The purposely, repetitive short clip named „Ode of My Mind Wandering Brain“, uses found footage from a YouTube documentary of Rayssa Leal. She is a young, female, street skater from Brazil who got famous over the no longer existing online video platform VINE, due to her talent in skating and her turquoise fairy outfit that expresses a rebellious/defiant behavior towards a male dominated skating culture.

The 1:1 format of the video was chosen in reference to the endlessly time consuming and mind wandering provoking social media platforms such as Instagram and others. The soundtrack accompanying the video named Mobile Suit Woe by Xavier Wulf, starts with the phrase “I Wake up every morning and do what the fuck I want“, which due to it’s new constellation with the skating Rayssa Leal in her fairy outfit and the title of the piece, directly refers to the impossibility to control one’s own mind/brain.
